Fried Backstrap
~ 1 side deer backstrap, cut into 1″ chops
~ 1 cup flour
~ 1 tsp pepper
~ 1 tsp salt
~ 1 tsp garlic powder
~ Crisco shortening |

In a bag, combine the flour, pepper, salt and garlic.
Addthe meat and shake to coat.
Heat a few tablespoons of Crisco in a skillet.
When it is very hot add the meat.
Cook over medium/high heat and cook into crispy brown flipping as needed.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with rice or boiled potatoes.
